People Intelligence is a privately-owned boutique recruitment consultancy specialising in permanent and contract IT, telco and sales recruitment. As part of the CareersMultiList franchise Pi can provide a service to clients and candidates across Australia.
Business needs
Most of Pi's customers are in the Sydney CBD and surrounding areas. Before a recent restructure of the business, the directors used their own cars for business travel. But parking is expensive and the practice unsustainable. So Pi joined MyCarClub/Charter Drive.
Pi's new structure emphasises client visits and consultation, so Charter Drive membership is even more valuable: the cost of one standard parking bay in the Sydney CBD is equivalent to three driving hours in a Charter Drive car. And there is no fringe benefits tax.
Charter Drive also lets Pi provide employee incentives. Managing Director Lindsey Morgan: "The majority of our employees are from overseas, so they don't necessarily have a car or want to have to own a car. We reward our staff with the incentive of personal use of the cars on the weekend."
"Our office moved to North Sydney recently, but our relationship with Charter Drive stayed exactly the same because they have cars in North Sydney, so itís just as convenient as it was when we were in the CBD."
Business benefits
And Ms Morgan likes the straightforward rules and continuously improving service: "It means there are no ambiguities with my staff. For example, they no longer have to use petty cash or their own credit cards to cover business travel."
