How do I reserve a car?

Use your Member Number and PIN to login to Charter Drive's Reservation System via the Website, or dial our reservation line to reserve your car. Members can make reservations up to a year or a minute in advance. You decide the date, time and duration that you need a car, select the most convenient location and if the car is available, it's yours. Our Web system quickly and easily displays surrounding vehicles and their availability.

Can I book on the spur of the moment?

Yes! Our in-vehicle technology enables cars to be booked on the spot. Cars can also be booked months in advance to ensure peace of mind for important engagements or regular trips.

Will a car be there when I need it?

Worldwide data generated from the experiences of over 300,000 members demonstrates that reliability of access is typically 90%+, with cars being more in demand at evenings and weekends.

What happens if the car is not available?

If the car you selected is not available, select another car nearby or select a different timeslot from the reservation menu. Charter Drive monitors car usage and member availability closely. We ensure that cars are available to meet customer needs, adding additional cars to current or nearby locations as member levels grow. Most reservations are made the day of car use. To better ensure car availability, make your reservation a day early.

Charter Drive is a membership program. There is no paperwork each time you need the car. The cars are conveniently located and DO NOT need to be picked up from one headquartered location. Charter Drive’s pricing includes insurance and fuel.

How does Charter Drive benefit the community?

Charter Drive helps our environment and community. Using Charter Drive decreases traffic on the road, helps relieve parking congestion, and reduces vehicle kilometres travelled. It is estimated that each Charter Drive car replaces between 5 and 10 cars on the road. Our fleet also uses environmentally friendly vehicles, with lower litres per kilometre and low toxic emissions.
